2012 Fees
Downstate Classes
The fee for the Illinois State Food Sanitation Downstate Course is $118.00 per person. This included fifteen hours of classroom instruction and course materials. After successfully passing the State exam, the Illinois Department of Public Health will bill you $35.00 per person for the five-year certificate. Renewal Course Fee $60.00 per person/Online Course Fee $175.00 per person.
Registration begins fifteen minutes prior to the beginning of instruction on the first day. There will be a morning and an afternoon break with one-half hour for lunch on your own. Each participant must complete the full 15 hours of instruction to be able to take the State exam.
In order that we may have adequate course materials available for each class, pre-registration is encouraged. If you have signed up for a class and cannot attend, you must call us at 1(800)705-8204 two days prior to the class date and cancel or you will be charged a $25.00 fee.
The Illinois Department of Public Health requires a minimum of five students per class. If a scheduled class has less than this minimum requirement, it has to be canceled. Students registered will be contacted prior to the start date and will be rescheduled for the next available class.
Chicago Area Classes
The fee for the Illinois State Food Sanitation Chicago Area Course is $168.00 per person. This includes fifteen hours of classroom instruction and course materials. After successfully passing the State exam, the Illinois Department of Public Health will bill you $35.00 per person for the five-year certificate. (This course meets the criteria for the Chicago Certificate). Renewal Course Fee $70.00 per person/Online Course Fee $210.00 per person.
