5 Hour RENEWAL Courses

CTC offers the required IDPH 5 hour renewal class. Each course will be given on the 1st day of our regular 15 hour class. You must attend from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The cost is $70.00 per person and includes a textbook. (NO EXAM is given with a renewal course.) Each student MUST bring a copy of their current certificate with them to class. Pre-registration is required, please fill out the area on the Registration form and fax or mail it into CTC. This is offered only for the ILLINOIS STATE certificate, excludes the City of Chicago certificate. Classes are heal at all of our locations.

ON-LINE Courses

CTC Now offers the 15 hour course on-line! You can now take the course via your computer for only $210.00 per person. Once you have completed your course on-line, you will be required to come into one of our locations to take the State Exam (We will pre-register you for you exam). Fees & Registration Information

The fee for the Illinois State Food Sanitation Course is $165.00 per person. This includes fifteen hours of classroom instruction and course materials. After successfully passing the State exam, the Illinois Department of Public Health will bill you $35.00 per person for the five-year certificate. Registration begins 10 minutes prior to the beginning of instruction on the first day. There will be two breaks with one hour for lunch on your own. Each person must complete the full 15 hours of instruction to be able to take the State exam, which will be given at the same location. (This course meets the criteria for the Chicago Certificate). Renewal Course Fee $70.00 per person/Online Course Fee $210.00 per person.

In order that we may have adequate course materials available for each class, pre-registration is encouraged. If you have signed up for a class and cannot attend, you must call us at 1(800)705-8204 two days prior to the class date and cancel or you will be charged a $25.00 fee.

The Illinois Department of Public Health requires a minimum of five students per class. If a scheduled class has less than this minimum requirement, it has to be canceled. Students registered will be contacted prior to the start date and will be rescheduled for the next available class.
